What is a LoTi Certified Mentor?
|
LoTi Mentor Certification is designed to provide participants
with the skills, strategies, and resources necessary to move
a school building or school district to a higher level of
technology implementation as well as improve student achievement.
The emphasis is on the processes underlying powerful teaching
and learning as well as skill development in the area of planning
effective staff development at the "Target Technology"
levels, conducting clinical observations, and delivering efficient
and differentiated instructional technology professional development
to staff.
A Loti
Mentor has received professional development and prepared
an extensive portfolio to develop proficiency in their ability
to:

improve student achievement based on NCLB requirements
- refine
the technology implementation strategies used with staff
- promote
higher levels of technology implementation in the classroom
-
create an effective bridge between instruction assessment,
and technology use, and
-
provide a data-driven approach to instructional technology
professional development planning and implementation at
the building and district levels.
