American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009
Enhancing Education Through Technology (EETT) Title II, Part D |
 |
President Obama signed into law the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) on February 17, 2009. This stimulus plan assigns significant funding to a variety of education and education-related programs, including educational technology, broadband access, and teacher professional development. Within the total for “School Improvement Programs” is $650 million for the Enhancing Education through Technology (EETT) program to “help school districts mitigate the effect of the recent reduction in local revenues and State support for education".
The Delaware Department of Education (DDOE) plans to accept competitive grant applications under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 – Title II, Part D (EETT) Grant Program. The funds for this competitive grant program will be used to help districts implement three types of projects: (1) Technology Infrastructure Project; (2) eMINTS Instructional Project; and (3) Technology Innovation Project. Eligible LEAs are invited to apply for up to two projects: One infrastructure project and one instructional project (either eMINTS or Innovation).
